On Thursday, November 7, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Director General of Health (DGS) received Dr. Raoul MOH, Executive Director of PAC-CI and PRISME-CI, in his office. He was accompanied for the occasion by his Human Resources Manager, Ms. Adrienne ABOUA-KOUAKOU, and his Communications and Resource Mobilization Manager, Mr. Lian Serge LALOU.
Dr. MOH, on behalf of Minister Thérèse N’dri-Yoman, President of PRISME-CI, presented an invitation to the Director General of Health, who is also a member of the PRISME-CI Strategic Steering Committee, to participate in a meeting of said Committee as the representative of the Minister of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage.
As a reminder, it was in early 2023 that the ANRS-Emerging Infectious Diseases, the University of Bordeaux, and the Institute of Research and Development joined forces with the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Finance and Budget of Côte d’Ivoire, the PAC-CI Association, and the French Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire to sign an agreement aimed at establishing an International Research Platform on Global Health (PRISME). Thus, since January 24, 2023, the PAC-CI Program has been engaged in a transition process toward PRISME-Côte d’Ivoire.
This international and inter-institutional initiative, whose mission is to promote scientific exchange and training, will help define preparedness and response strategies tailored to the emergence and re-emergence of epidemics.
Prof. Samba MAMADOU assured his hosts that he would indeed be attending this meeting, scheduled for December 2, 2024, at the PAC-CI Program’s offices. This will be an opportunity for PRISME-CI and its technical and financial partners to review the year 2024 and discuss the outlook for 2025 and financial issues.
