A delegation of French parliamentarians visiting Côte d’Ivoire traveled to the PAC-CI Program on December 2 to observe how French Official Development Assistance (ODA) funds are being used, whether through multilateral health agencies or French operators.
The parliamentary delegation consisted of:
Ms. Ségolène Amiot, elected in 2022 as a deputy for Loire-Atlantique. A member of the La France Insoumise group, she serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Mr. Karim Ben Cheikh, a former diplomat, was elected in 2022 as a deputy representing French citizens living abroad (9th constituency—including RCI). A member of the Europe Ecologie Les Verts group, he serves on the Finance Committee.
Ms. Mireille Clapot, Member of Parliament for Drôme and Vice Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee. Elected in 2017 (LREM), reelected in 2022 (Renaissance). She is a member of the National Assembly’s Delegation for Gender Equality and a member of the French section of the Parliament of the Francophonie.
Ms. Estelle Youssouffa, elected in 2022 as the Member of Parliament for Mayotte. Formerly a journalist and international consultant. A member of the LIOT group, she serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee and is Vice Chair of the Overseas Territories Delegation.
The members of the National Assembly were accompanied by Mr. Gautier Centlivre, Head of Parliamentary Advocacy at Action Santé Mondiale, and Ms. Floriane Bougeard, regional health advisor at the French Embassy.
