𝐎𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 16, the 𝐏𝐀𝐂-𝐂𝐈/𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐂𝐈 program hosted the launch meeting of the 𝘿𝒆𝙣𝒈𝙪𝒆𝘾𝑨𝙍𝑬 project, a research initiative conducted in Côte d'Ivoire with the support of institutional, scientific, and technical partners committed to the fight against dengue.
Supported notably by the 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, the project brings together 𝐏𝐀𝐂-𝐂𝐈/𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐂𝐈, 𝗹𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲 𝗹’𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲́ 𝗱’𝗢𝘅𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 around a common goal: to better understand the impact of climate and the environment on dengue to strengthen prevention and response.
Led by 𝘿𝙧 𝙀𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣 𝘿𝙮𝙚𝙧 and 𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙧 𝘼𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝘽𝙖𝙙𝙟𝙚́ and coordinated by the 𝘿𝙧 𝙔𝙖𝙤 𝘼𝙗𝙤, as project manager, DengueCARE aims to advance research, collaboration among stakeholders, and action capacities against this mosquito-borne disease transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.
This meeting allowed the presentation of the project's objectives, working groups, and activity timeline, in a dynamic of equitable partnership for public health.
The project launch was also covered in the Fraternité Matin newspaper on Friday, April 17.
